Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, February 2, 2012.

Sunday, January 29

*3:49pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a witness had seen several juveniles breaking windows.  The suspects were identified and their parents contacted.  The parents agreed to pay to repair the broken windows.

Tuesday, January 31

*9:55am-A Brownwood Police officer, while on duty at the high school, was contacted by Brownwood Middle School regarding two juveniles who had been found in possession of tobacco.  According to the report, the two juveniles were given citations for Minor in Possession of Tobacco and given three days in-school discipline.

 

Wednesday, February 1

*8:02am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Melwood regarding a stolen purse.  According to the report, a parked vehicle had the passenger window broken out and an unknown suspect removed a purse from the passenger side floorboard during the overnight hours.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*9:55am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Melwood regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, sometime overnight an unknown suspect opened the door of an unlocked pickup and removed an iPod Nano.  Nothing else was taken and no suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*10:23pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person stole several bottles of prescription medication from his vehicle.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 47-year-old Joe Bob Carter for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Jeffrey Rain Lemons of Early for Driving While Intoxicated.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
