One person was airlifted Tuesday night after a two-vehicle collision on the corner of US Highway 67/84 and County Road 198 between Brownwood and Bangs.

A pickup truck and passenger car collided around 7pm Tuesday night with injuries reported.  The wreck shut down the east lane of traffic for more than an hour while crews worked to treat the injured and clear the scene.

AirEvac Lifeteam landed the helicopter on the highway and transported on person to Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene.
