Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, January 5, 2012.

Wednesday, January 4

*11:53am-Brownwood Police responded to the report of a burglary in the 1300 block of Avenue H.  According to the report, the house is currently vacant and under renovations.  The house was entered sometime during the past few weeks and tools and pieces of equipment were taken from inside the residence, the report states.  There were no suspects at the time of the report.

*8:44pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of 1st Street, Grace Lutheran Church, regarding a theft.  According to the report, the pastor stated that some purses were stolen from inside the church and later found outside.  The three female victims stated that items were missing from inside their wallets which were in the purses at the time of the theft, the report states. 

*10:40pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a Jeep for an expired vehicle registration.  During the stop, the driver acted nervous, the police report states.  The officer asked for permission to search the vehicle which was verbally granted and narcotics were found, according to the report.  The driver, identified as 21-year-old Kayla Rae Browne, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1gram in a Drug Free Zone, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession of Marijuana less than or equal to 2 oz. in a Drug Free Zone.

*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Mario Gonzales-Esparza and 19-year-old Carlos Luevano-Pedroza, both of Dallas,  and each were placed on a Border Patrol Hold.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
