Two vehicles collided in the intersection of Avenue K and Durham on Thursday afternoon, sending both drivers to the hospital.

A Chevy Impala and Ford pickup were involved in the accident which occurred shortly after 4:00pm.  Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center. 

The cause of the accident was undetermined; however both vehicles had damage to their front ends.  An officer on scene reported that both vehicles were traveling on Avenue K in opposing directions when they collided, possibly as a turn was being attempted.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the accident.
