AccidentScene

A three vehicle collision sent one to the hospital and caused extensive damage to all three vehicles Friday afternoon.

Shortly after 4:00pm, Brownwood police and fire departments responded to the accident scene at the intersection of Baker and Main Streets.

According to witnesses on scene a Dodge Durango collided with a Cadillac causing it to strike a Chevrolet pickup.  The Durango was traveling eastbound on Main.   The Cadillac was traveling south on Baker and the truck north on Baker.

Brownwood Police state that one occupant of the truck, the driver, was transported by Guardian EMS to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment.  His injuries were unknown at the time of the report.

Within an hour of the above three vehicle accident, two other wrecks occurred.

At 4:55pm, two vehicles collided in the 400 block of W. Commerce between Wal-Mart and Underwood’s Cafeteria.  This accident sent one person to the hospital for treatment.  Injuries were unknown at the time of the accident.

Just 10 minutes later a female on a bicycle was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Main and Baker Streets (same location as the first accident).  According to emergency personnel, the woman suffered only minor injuries of scrapes and bruises and declined transport to the hospital.

Pictured is the first accident scene.  Below are pictures of damage to vehicles involved.
