Memorial services for Michael Jones, 54, of Hazel Green Alabama, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 2 pm on Friday, December 2, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating.  

Mr. Jones passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Huntsville Hospital in Alabama.

Michael D. Jones was born on July 10, 1957, in Mineral Wells to J.C. and Pat Jones. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1975, and later attended Central Texas Commercial College. He served his country for six years in the United States Army and had worked for Holley Chevrolet as well as the Brownwood State School before moving to Austin, where he worked for Northwestern National Life Insurance Company.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Pat Blackstock Jones; a son, Brandon Jones; brother, Jeff Jones and special cousins, Jackie Knotts and Nancy Richards, who were raised with him. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Jones.
