A blood drive and fundraising event will be held on December 10th to benefit Jr. Pinson, former Early Chief of Police.

On October 31st, Jr. was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  He has been in the hospital since then receiving numerous transfusions of blood and platelets.  He has started his chemotherapy treatments and will eventually need a bone marrow transplant.

Jr. served the community for 25 years as a police officer for the City of Early. The last 10 years of his service he was the Chief of Police.

Now it is time for the community to show him appreciation by giving him support during the fight of his life.

Friends and family are having a blood drive and fundraiser on Saturday, December 10th from 10:00am-4:00pm at Early First Baptist Church.  There will also be tables set up for t-shirt sales, a bake sale and hot dogs.

The holidays are one of the toughest times to collect blood and anyone who comes to donate will receive a free “Perfect Gift” t-shirt while supplies last.

Donations are being taken at American State Bank, Mills County State Bank and Citizens National Bank of Brownwood.
