East Elementary Runs with the Mayor

On Saturday, November 19th, about 11 East Elementary students and their families met at Coggin Park to “Run With the Mayor.”

Stephen Haynes, Brownwood Mayor and East Dad, led the students and their families in stretching exercises before leading the group as they ran, jogged and walked around Coggin Park.  East Elementary PTO sponsored the run and hope to make this an annual event open to the public.

Participating East Elementary faculty were Sharlene Monsen, Candice Matlock and class puppy Ginger, Lynsey McCormick, Wendy Fisk, and Nanda Wilbourn. East Elementary would also like to send a special thanks to Jill Roberts, owner of Stroller Strength, for participating and supporting the event.

Participants (in no particular order) includeded: Ethan Waldrop and family, Emily and Ally Haynes and family, Eme and Kennedy Beaumont and family, Weston Burns and family, Ema Stegemoller and family, Cayden Christmas and family, Jaiden Perez and family, Seth Oines and family, Mo Goff and family, Rachel Odle and family, Brady Brownlee and family, Jasmine Simpson and family, Allorah Franks and family, Austin Wright and family.
