moore_judyJudy Moore was born to Lillie and T.E. Stevens on Jan. 3, 1931. She went to be with our Lord Jesus on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 62 years, Herman L. Moore, and three daughters, Judy Lynn Timberlake and husband, Mark, Sherry Haynes, and Terry Dudley and husband, Ted, her seven precious grandchildren, Sonya King of San Angelo, Brandy Rodgers of Fort Worth, Ty Smith of Fort Worth, Ryan Scalf of Brownwood, Jared Smith of South Korea, Demi Moore Scott of Brownwood and Ariel Lynn Scott of Fort Worth, and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Doris Evans of Brownwood. Judy was preceded in death by her infant son, Charles Stevens Moore.

Judy had a lifelong passion for dancing. She started teaching at the age of 13 and as a little girl she entertained troops at Camp Bowie during World War II. She was a talented Dance Instructor having Schools of Dance in Comanche, Angelton and Brownwood. She choreographed her many dance recitals in the fashion of musicals such as New York, New York, Chicago, and West Side Story. Judy cherished and loved her dance students and took great joy in watching them perform. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her family. She will forever be our beloved Mimi.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Blaylock Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22nd in Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early.

The family requests that lieu of flowers, memorial donations be considered to the Lyric Theatre, P.O. Box 1886, Brownwood, Texas 76804.

Services under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home, 1914 Indian Creek Road.
