Howard Payne University seniors Cote Schacherl and Demetrius Cody  were listed the 2011 ASC football awards, the ASC office announced on Wednesday after a vote of the league’s nine head coaches.

Cote Schacherl received First Team All-ASC honors as a punter. He led the ASC and the nation in punting with a 43.9 average. He kicked 17 inside the 20 yard line and had a career long punt of 73 yards.

Demetrius Cody was named Second Team All-Conference as a defensive back. His team high 70 tackles (48 solo) was good for 13th overall in the ASC. He also had two sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
