GoodSamaritainMinistriesLogoChristmas will be here before you know it and Good Samaritan Ministries has already begun planning for our annual Christmas boxes. Each year we put together a box filled with most of the necessary ingredients for making a traditional Christmas dinner. We will begin passing out the boxes December 1 and continue through Dec. 23. Some of the items we include are: canned sweet potatoes, sweet peas, peaches, stuffing mix, cake mix, frosting, chicken broth, cranberry sauce, and canned pumpkin.

A donation of any of those items would be greatly appreciated. Also, anyone who would like to donate financially to the project, $35 will provide a traditional Christmas dinner for one family! Donations may be mailed to GSM at P.O. Box 1136, Brownwood, drop it by our location at 305 Clark Street or make a donation online via PayPal at goodsambwd.org.

If you’d rather donate food, collection boxes are located at American State Bank, Citizens National Bank, Mills County State Bank in Early, Bank of America, Texas Bank, City of Brownwood, Brownwood Police Department, Fit by Faith and McCoy’s.

We’ve set record numbers all year long in the number of families served through the Food Pantry, and we anticipate as many as 2,000 families during the month of December each year.

Donations of any kind are greatly appreciated during Christmas time and throughout the year!

Also, we can always use volunteers during these busy holiday months! Let us know if you’d like to help by volunteering a few hours a day. Call us at 643-2273 for more information.
