The City of Brownwood announced that in observance of the Thanksgiving Holidays, City Hall will be closed and there will be no collection of residential waste on Thursday or Friday, November 24th and 25th, 2011.  Residents with blue or green carts, please note that your collection days are as follows:

  •Thursday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday November 23rd.

  •Friday’s routes will be collected on Saturday November 26th.

The Recycling Center and Landfill will be closed on Thursday and Friday November 24th and 25th and will reopen on Saturday November 26th.

The City collects brush and tree limbs from residential customers at no charge, please cut them into lengths of 5 feet or less and notify the Sanitation Department at 643-4200. 

For problems related to water or sewer service within the City of Brownwood, customers may call 646-6000 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
