Gaynell Laverne Briggs

BriggsGaynellFuneral services forGaynell Laverne Briggs will be Thursday November 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Heartland Funeral Chapel Early, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Briggs was born in Callahan County, Texas on July 3, 1917 to Adrain and Badie Ponder Hallmark. She lived in Merkel, Texas for a number of years. She has lived in Brown County for the past nine years. She was a member of the Merkel Church of Christ.

On February 14, 1999 she was married to Harvey Briggs. Gaynell was an excellent artist. She loved senior dances and traveling.

Gaynell is survived by her husband Harvey Briggs of May, Texas, her grandchildren Dalinda Preston of Houma, La. and Patricia LeBlanc of Lafayette, La., one great- granddaughter Tera LeBlanc, a great great-granddaughter Abby LeBlanc. She is also survived by two brothers; Billy Hallmark of Anson, Texas and Ronald Hallmark of Moran, Texas, one sister Geneva Watts of Lake Fork, Texas. And a number of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Patricia Dell and Charlotte Ann McCoy, and two brother Dall Hallmark and Delmer Hallmark
