Mickie Tumlinson

TumlinsonMickieFuneral services for Mickie Tumlinson, 77, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2011, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Saturday, October 29, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tumlinson passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Mickie Ruth Williams was born on September 1, 1934, in Durant Oklahoma to Marshall and Roxie (Hill) Williams. She married Corky Tumlinson on December 20, 1971, in El Paso Texas. They moved to Lake Brownwood in 1973.  Mickie started working for Southwest Bank in 1983.  During the course of her career, the bank became Texas Bank; and she was the AVP of Teller Operations when she retired in December, 2007.  She had lived in Brownwood since 1973, moving here from Slaton.

 

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Corky Tumlinson of Lake Brownwood; children, Christy Walker and husband Rode, of Fredricksburg, Phil Tumlinson and wife Liz, of Brownwood and Mark Tumlinson and wife Kim, of San Angelo; grandchildren, C.J. and Craig Carroll, Rowdy Walker, Bunde Walker, Miranda and Issac Griesbaum, Trevor Tumlinson, Cade Tumlinson and Kati Tumlinson. She is also survived by her soon to be born great-grandchild; her brother, Larry Williams, two nieces, six nephews and special friend, Lynda Dabbs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshal and Roxie Ellen Williams, one son, Toby Tumlinson and a sister, Marsha Woods.
