Brenda J. Moore

Brenda J. Moore, age 56, of View, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011, in Hendrick Hospice. Brenda was born on November 14, 1954 in Brownwood, Texas, to Robert and Birdie Burton Fletcher. She attended schools in May, Texas, graduating from May High School in 1972. She married Jerry “Cotton” Moore in 1971. Brenda had formerly worked for Hendrick Medical Center for many years as a medical transcriptionist. She had lived in the View community for several years.

Brenda is survived by 1 son, Jason Moore and his wife Lisa of Fort Worth, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Justin, Hunter, Dylan and Stacie Moore, all of Fort Worth, Texas; her special companion for the past 11 years, Sandy Graham of View, Texas; 1 sister, Betty Moore of Lake Brownwood, Texas; and 2 nieces, Lori Arther and family of Abilene, Texas, and Shelly Schafer and family of Lake Brownwood, Texas. She is also survived by her extended family including her good friend Renae “Smiley” Ferguson of Big Spring, and her life-long friends in the McKay family, Betty McKay of Abilene, Texas, Ronda McKay Franke of Baird, Texas, and Carol McKay Bennett of Hawley, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Barbara and Lucille, former husband “Cotton” Moore, and an infant daughter, Stacy.

In accordance with Brenda’s wishes her body was donated for medical research. A memorial service will be held at a later time. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the wonderful staff of Hendrick Hospice, and suggest that memorials in Brenda’s honor go to that organization. Parker Funeral Home of Baird was in charge of arrangements.
