Howard Payne University’s Tamika Heline had 17 kills in a 3-0 (25-16,25-10,25-17) victory over Sul Ross State University Friday evening.

Howard Payne committed only four attack errors the entire match and none in the third game. The Lady Jackets had a .458 attack pct for the match, their highest of the season.

Tamika Heline had a match high 17 kills and 11 digs. Rhyne Acuff followed with 10 kills.

Jessica Guerra and Shelby Bridges had 19 and 13 assists respectively. Kristin Hammond had 15 digs.

Sul Ross State was led by Brooke Bankston with nine kills.

Howard Payne improves to 9-17 overall and 5-12 in ASC play, while Sul Ross falls to 1-22 overall.

The Lady Jackets will return to Brownwood for a Tuesday match versus Texas Lutheran University. It will be senior day and will start at 6:00 pm.
