A tanker truck interrupted traffic at approximately 8:00am Monday morning when it rolled over in the southbound lane of  Hwy 377/67 just past the intersection of  Hwy 84/183S in Early.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Larry Duncan and Early Police officer Stephanie Haile, the 34-year-old male driver turned from US Hwy 84/183 onto US Hwy 377/67 or Early Blvd and was heading south as the truck flipped onto its side.  The cause of the accident had not been determined as of Monday morning and is currently under the investigation of Trooper Duncan and Officer Haile.

The one vehicle accident sent the driver, who was not visibly injured but appeared to be quite shaken according to law enforcement, to the hospital for evaluation.  The truck is registered to Lindsey Contractors, Inc. out of Waco, Texas and was reported to be on its way to a construction site in Coleman County.  The truck was carrying hot oil for construction according to DPS officials, which can be seen spilt onto the roadway.

Multiple agencies including DPS, Early Police Department, Early Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Department of Transportation, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and City of Early crews responded to the accident.

Pictured above is the tanker flipped on its side.
