HPU VB Falls In Four Games To Schreiner

volleyballlogoThe Howard Payne University volleyball team fell 1-3 to Schreiner University in conference action Thursday evening in the Brownwood Coliseum.

Howard Payne dropped the first two games 25-16 and 25-21. The Lady Jackets rallied in game three winning 25-16.

The Lady Jackets only managed a .067 attack pct in the fourth game and fell 25-16.

Schreiner controled the net in the match recording 26 total blocks to Howard Payne’s 10.
Tamika Heline led HPU with eight kills followed by Hannah Hicks with seven. Jessica Guerra had 18 assists and Kristin Hammons finished with 12 digs.

Schreiner was led by Ashley Lyles with 10 kills and Kelli Bolen with 33 assists.

Howard Payn falls to 8-15 overall and 4-10 in ASC action, while Schreiner improves to 5-16 overall and 4-9 in conference play.

The Lady Jackets will travel to Texas Lutheran University in Seguin on Saturday for a 2:00 pm match.
