Culpepper Named 2011 HPU Homecoming Queen

Ciera Culpepper of Zephyr was crowned Howard Payne University’s 2011 Homecoming Queen at the Homecoming convocation held Friday, October 14th in Mims Auditorium.

Culpepper is a senior and Family Studies Major at HPU.

Laura Peisker, of Cedar Park, was crowned Homecoming Princess.  Peisker is a junior mathematics major.

The 2011 Homecoming Court consisted of:

Queen Nominees:  Rachael Amy, a senior Christian education major from Lumberton; Ciera Culpepper, a senior family studies major from Zephyr; and Angela Haney, a senior political science major from Denison.

Princess Nominees:  Kathryn Barrackman, a junior mathematics and political science major from Cypress; Kayla Castillo, a junior criminal justice major from Fort Worth; and Laura Peisker, a junior mathematics major.

The student body selects the court each year by elections coordinated through the Student Government Association.

The HPU Homecoming football game will be played against Louisiana College at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 15th at Gordon Wood Stadium.
