Former Bangs resident and Bangs volunteer fire fighter Kay Wheeless passed away in Missouri Thursday, October 6, 2011.

Bangs Volunteer Fire Department has set up an account at Texas Bank to help the family through this difficult time.  The family does not have insurance, having recently moved to Missouri in hopes of getting heart issues resolved for Mrs. Wheeless and changing jobs which would not provide insurance with her existing condition.

Wheelis is the mother of two teenage girls who along with her husband moved to Missouri earlier this year.  Since her death, the family has decided they would like to bring Mrs. Wheeless home for burial near her father in the Bangs area.  The family plans to move back to Bangs and not only needs financial help for the burden the medical issues have created but also to help them with their out of state moving and funeral costs.
