Congressman Mike Conaway of the 11th District of Texas was on the Howard Payne University campus Wednesday of last week, speaking with students in the Honors American Government class. Mandy Locker, assistant professor of political science, arranged the visit.

The Congressman also spoke at the Early Chamber of Commerce and the Brownwood Rotary Club the same day.  Conaway was giving a Congressional update to residents and also looking for support for a federal balanced budget amendment.
