The Early Longhorns secured their first win of the season in a close game Friday night against the Jim Ned Indians. The Longhorns had a solid early lead with a score of 21-0 going into halftime, but Jim Ned scored three times in the fourth quarter to tie the game and sent it into overtime with a score of 21-21.
Early scored first in overtime with a touchdown and extra point giving them the lead. Jim Ned answered that score with a touchdown as well, but a blocked extra point attempt secured the Early Longhorns’ first win of the season 28-27. This takes Early to a 1-4 overall record.
