The Christian Motorcyclist Association ministered at the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex during the weekend of September 10-11.  Approximately 26 motorcycles circled around the campus on Saturday afternoon, greeting the students with roaring engines and honking horns.  After their lap, they parked their shining motorcycles in front of the chapel so that the students could pick their favorites as they entered into the worship service.

Approximately 34 CMA members made their way from cities across Texas including Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Waco, Weatherford, and Brownwood to host the annual rally for the students at TYC.  This year’s guest speaker was Richard Coss from Gulf Shore, Alabama, an author and a speaker who has dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel message to prisons, jails, youth groups, and more.  His message to the young ladies at the facility was one of redemption and hope as he shared his own story of growing up in a broken family.  Mr. Coss began his career as a habitual criminal as a young boy and was eventually listed by the FBI as “dangerous and incorrigible.”  He was able to provide hope for the students that a life with Christ is a life of true freedom.

“We just want the young ladies to know there is a better way to live your life with the help of Jesus Christ. All of the volunteers attending will tell you it was a great way to spend their weekend,” stated Kenneth Copeland, event organizer.  The vision of CMA is “Changing the world, one heart at a time.”  The ministry provided at the Ron Jackson facility is one of the ways the motorcyclists are fulfilling this vision.
