BFD: Fire & Rescue Reports 9/6

BFDlogoSmallReports released for the week of August 28th through September 3rd from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 21 medical emergencies, 5 motor vehicle accidents, 4 fire calls, 1 electrical call, and 1 public assistance call.

Monday, August 29

*2:47pm – BFD responded a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the 1500 block of Brady Avenue.

*4:20pm – BFD was dispatched to a two vehicle accident in the 2800 block of Coggin Avenue.  One patient was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Tuesday, August 30

*2:28pm – BFD was called to a grass fire at the Bangs Hill rest stop.   Firefighters found the fire out upon arrival

*5:31pm – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident with no injuries on CR 180.

Wednesday, August 31

*10:25pm – BFD was dispatched on a fire call in the 2500 block of N. Main Blvd.  Firefighters arrived to discover trash smoldering in a bathroom trash can. 

Thursday, September 1

* 7:24am – BFD was called to an electrical problem on FM 45.  Oncor was notified.

Friday, September 2

*11:03am – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  A single vehicle was involved with no injuries.

*3:24pm – BFD were dispatched to a vehicle fire at 7th Street & Avenue E which was extinguishment by fire personnel.

*6:53pm – BFD was called to a building fire in the 1000 block of Santa Clara Dr.  Fire fighters arrived on scene to find a smell of smoke in the residence. After investigation, insulation was found burning in attic.  Fire Crews removed the insulation & contacted Oncor.

Saturday, August 3

*9:31pm –BFD responded to a public assistance call in the 200 block of E. Commerce Street.  Fire fighters arrived to find a child entangled in seat belt, fire crews removed the seat belt from the child.
