Brownwood Fire Department responded to a car fire in the 300 block of W. Adams Street Monday morning. 

Initial reports stated that a man was working on the car around 9:15am and drilled a hole in the gas tank which caused the tank to ignite.  The vehicle was fully engulfed and a total loss (pictured above).

The man working on the vehicle escaped the flames with minor injuries and was evaluated by fire crews and Guardian EMS.
