In conjunction with the 2011 Brownwood Reunion Celebration, the Brownwood Art Association is hosting a photo contest for photographers ages 8 and up.

Categories will be judged in three age brackets – ages 8-14, ages 15-20, and ages 21 & up along with professional photos (all ages) and funny photos (all ages).  There is a $5 entry fee per piece with no limit on the number of entries.   All subject matter, in good taste, may be submitted but is accepted at the discretion of the Brownwood Art Association.  All photography must be framed and ready to hang.

The photo contest will be the first exhibit shown in the newly renovated Brownwood Art Center, located at 215 Fisk, which is expected to be completed in early September.

Photographs will be accepted as entry into the contest at the art center at the following days and times:

Sunday, September 11 – 1-4pm
Tuesday, September 13 – 6-8pm
Wednesday, September 14 – 1-4pm

The photographs will be on exhibit during the Brownwood Reunion Celebration on September 16-18. (Friday, Sept. 16 – 5-7pm; Sat., Sept. 17 – Noon – 5pm; and Sunday, Sept. 18 – 1-4pm).

The contest will be judged by professional photographer Roger Levesque.

Entry forms can be picked up at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce located at 600 E. Depot St.
