Helen Huseman

HusemanFuneral Mass for Helen Rose Huseman, age 68, of Brownwood, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 at St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Church with Father Francis Njoku officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations.  Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, at the funeral home.   Mrs. Huseman passed away Thursday morning, August 11, 2011, at Community Hospital in San Angelo.

Helen was born February 27, 1943 in Celo, North Carolina to William Frank and Maude (Hoover) Duncan.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Church and was an active supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  On April 12, 1965, Helen married George Huseman.  She graduated from Ranger Junior College LVN School in the class of 87-88, and was a nurse for over 20 years.  She retired from Cross Country Nursing Home.

Those left behind to cherish her memories include her husband, George Huseman of Brownwood; four sons, Jack Edward Hunt and wife, Cho, of Wylie, Randy Frank Hunt and wife Lety, of Austin, George Allen Huseman and wife, Regina, of Brownwood and Douglas Emil Huseman and wife, Deanna of Saginaw; grandchildren, Sheree and Jonny Hunt, Tyson Hunt and wife Jenna, Eric and April Johnson, Adam and Cody Huseman, Emily, Kimber and Kaitlyn Huseman; great grandchildren, Annalise and Brayden; two sisters, Ruby Robinson of Burnsville, North Carolina and Gloria Gile of Clearfield, Utah; several nieces, nephews and extended family.  She is also survived by her beloved pets, Abby and Buster.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Clyde Duncan and Tommy Duncan; and four sisters, Ruth Stancil, Lena Ollis, Annie McMahon and Grace Ollis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
