Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney, Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Brandon Allen Fitzgerald, on probation for felony offense of Aggravated Kidnapping – Deadly Weapon, was adjudicated and sentenced to 12 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Mark Anthony Rivera pled guilty to two separate felony offenses of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.

Angelica Hortencia Alvarez, on probation for felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, was adjudicated and sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Donnie Walters, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Tommi Deann Miller, on probation for felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Samuel Sanchez, Jr., on probation for the felony offense of Assault against Public Servant, was revoked and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jennifer Leigh Brents, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was sentenced to 180 days, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Amanda Lynn Whorton pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Further, Whorton, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Matias Buitron, Jr. pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to ten years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional division.
