District Attorney Micheal Murray’s office reported that a recent felony case was heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Augustus Myers pled guilty to the felony offense of Harassment by Persons in Certain Correctional Facilities and was sentenced to Five (5) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Myers pled guilty to the offenses of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Criminal Mischief and Evading Arrest and was sentenced to Twelve (12) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

According to Brown County Jail records, on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 26-year-old Myers turned himself in on 11 outstanding warrants from Brown County, of those four were for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
