Brownwood ISD announces that Pre-K and Kindergarten registration and qualification as well as registration of new students to BISD elementary schools will be held during the first two weeks of August.
Pre-K Qualification:
Parents of children who are 3-4 years-of-age that meet one of the criteria for Pre-Kindergarten may qualify their children from 8:30am-3:30pm Monday, August 1 through Friday, August 5 at the BISD Central Office, located at 2707 Southside in Brownwood.
Students must be pre-qualified for Pre-Kindergarten in order to register for school the following week. Please bring any of the following documents:
- proof of parent’s income for one month,
- 9-digit eligibility group number from SNAP or TANF,
- proof of current or former foster care placement of child,
- proof of parent’s active military service or proof that parent of child was injured or killed in active military duty
- other documentation as applicable
New Elementary Student Registration:
Registration for Pre-K and New Students at BISD elementary schools will be held at the following campuses:
East Elementary: New students, including Pre-K, enrolling at East Elementary ONLY may register from 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday, August 8th at East Elementary.
Woodland Heights: New students, including Pre-K, enrolling at Woodland Heights Elementary ONLY may register from 8:30am-3:30pm, Tuesday, August 9th at Woodland Heights Elementary.
Northwest Elementary: New students, including Pre-K, enrolling at Northwest Elementary ONLY may register from 8:30am-3:30pm, Wednesday, August 10th through Friday, August 12th at Northwest Elementary.
