Funeral Services for Henry Glen Shadix, 87, of Blanket, Texas will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, July 18th at the Heartland Funeral Home with Pastor Ellis Parson officiating. Interment will follow in the Blanket Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Shadix passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in the Ballinger Memorial Hospital.

Henry Glen Shadix was born on April 24, 1924 in Clovis, New Mexico to Henry and Nellie Miller Shadix. He served in the United States Army during WW II and was married to Bonnie Parson in Eldorado, Texas. A lifetime member of Blanket he was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include:  Daughter, Charlette Story; Grandchildren, Norman Hartzell, Jr., Mary Jones, Linda Plumley, Nikki Godfret and Michael Polberry; Fourteen Great Grandchildren; Brother, Clyde Shadix; Sisters, Hazel Whitehead and Marie Wall.

Mr. Shadix was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
