The Brownwood Police Department promoted Officer Michael Sheedy to the rank of Sergeant and recognized the promotion Tuesday at the Brownwood city council meeting.

Brownwood Police Chief Mike Corley administered the Law Enforcement Oath of Honor while city Secretary Christi Wynn administered the Oath of Office for Sheedy.

Sheedy’s wife Christy pinned the badge on her husband, a tradition in law enforcement.
