Food Plaza convenience stores celebrated 45 years of business in the area on Friday, July 8. To help celebrate the event, Food Plaza gave out delicious food samples and is offering large fountain drinks for 45 cents.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce marked the event by presenting a plaque to Steve Fryar of Food Plaza and PF&E Oil Company at their store located at the corner of Hwy 377 South and Avenue B.

Brownwood Mayor Stephen Haynes recognized the event by issuing a proclamation which recounted the history of the business, and parent company PF&E Oil Company, and the impact they have on the community.  The company has more than 80 employees.
