Law enforcement reports and arrests released July 8

Wednesday, July 6

*3:00pm – Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft in the 2100 block of 12th Street.  The complainant said that a door-to-door salesman came to her residence the previous day selling cleaning fluid.  The woman paid $200 to the salesman for two cases of the product.  The report states that the salesman left to get the product, but never returned.

*3:56pm – Brownwood Police responded to a report of burglary of a vehicle at Woodland Crest Apartments.

Thursday, July 7

*Brownwood Police received a report of a stolen bicycle in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive.

*9:07am – Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft in the 500 block of 8th Street.  The complainant said that they purchased two cases of cleaning fluid that was never delivered.

*11:00am – Brownwood Police received a report of a hit-and-run in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  The report states that an unknown vehicle struck a parked city of Brownwood vehicle causing minor damage.  The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

*11:04am – Brownwood Police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 1900 block of 1st Street.

*11:34am – Brownwood Police responded to a report of criminal mischief at the Brownwood Middle School.  The police report states that unknown suspect(s) damaged a door window, two security light covers, and two security cameras by throwing rocks at them.

*6:17pm – Brownwood Police responded to a report of a possible assault in the 3400 block of 2nd Street.  After a short investigation, police determined that no assault occurred, but one of the suspects was found to be in possession of marijuana, according to the report.  18-year-old Clayton Douglas Bounds was arrested for possession.

*10:06pm – Brownwood Police are investigating a possible incident of an attempted kidnapping in the 1400 block of Austin Avenue.

Friday, July 8

*2:56am – Brownwood police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 2300 block of Avenue E.  A male and female assaulted each other at the location.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
