The Early Twisters erupted for 10 runs in the top of the sixth inning to pull away from the Cross Plains Stampede for a 15-4 victory in the TTAS District 2 Midget Championship Game Friday at Early City Park.

All 10 of the Twisters’ sixth-inning runs crossed the plate with two outs after it appeared Cross Plains would keep the game close to the end.

The Early Twisters had an exceptional regular season with 9 wins and 1 loss. They won district with a 4 win 0 loss record

Both Early and Cross Plains have qualified for the TTAS Midget State Tournament, which will be held July 18 at the Bert Massey Sports Complex in Brownwood
