The Brownwood Fire Department announced that they will be doing the monthly test of the Brownwood emergency siren system on Tuesday, June 28th around noon.

The siren test normally occurs on the first Monday of each month, but due to the first Monday falling on the July 4th holiday, the test will happen this week.

The emergency siren system is used to alert residents of an imminent emergency in the area such as a tornado.
