Regarding the Circle P fire which occurred Thursday June 16th near the Baptist Encampment at Lake Brownwood, the following statement was issued by the Dam Volunteer Fire Departments as a thank you to the parties who came together to fight the fire and take care of those involved in the evacuation:

The Dam V.F.D. would like to send out thanks to Bangs, Brownwood, and Early for providing buses to evacuate the Baptist Encampment. We would like to thank all of the area fire departments that assisted in the initial attack and containment of this fire, as well as the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for providing traffic control on FM 2125.

Thanks goes out to the Red Cross, and those that provided food for all the firefighters.

There were 21 structures threatened, only 2 small outbuildings were lost.

There was a second fire in that same area on Sunday the 19th, we would like to thank Lake Bridge and Bangs VFDs for assisting with a quick response and initial attack, getting the active fire put out quickly.

We would also like to thank Sonic and Little Caesar’s Pizza for donating food for the firefighters.
