AgriLifeExtensionIf you have an interest in pasture brush control and/or have a pesticide applicator license you will want to mark your calendars for Tuesday evening July 5, 2011. That is the date of a pasture and tree CEU program. It will be held at the Brown County Fairgrounds Home Economics Building, HWY 377 South. The program will begin at 5:00p.m. It will focus on pasture brush control.

However, there will be a segment on protecting your yard trees from insect pest problems. Even though we all want to control brush in the pasture we definitely want to keep our yard trees in good shape.

Speakers include: Dr. Charles Hart, Extension Range Specialist, Dr. Chris Sansone, Extension Entomologist, Ralph Porter, Dow AgroSciences, Neal Alexander, CEA-AG San Saba County, Heath Lusty, CEA-AG Lampasas County.

The pasture/tree program has been approved for 5 CEUs for pesticide applicators 2 IPM, 1 General, and 2 Laws & Regs. There will be a $25.00 registration fee for those that pre-register and $30.00 at the door. A catered catfish meal is included. To preregister contact the Brown County Extension Office at 325-646-0386.
