Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

  • Melissa Sims pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to Eight (8) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Milagros Achantee Ferrer, on probation for the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, was adjudicated and sentenced to Seven (7) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Daryl Glenn Reed pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Reed pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Abandoning or Endangering a Child and was sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • John David Adams, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation, was adjudicated and sentenced to Three (3) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Deaun Long Dalton pled guilty to the felony offense of Prohibited Substances and Items in Correctional Facility and was sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Dalton, on probation for the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated, was revoked and sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • William Doyle Willis, on probation for the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger, was revoked and sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Mario Alberto Gonzalez, on probation for the felony offense of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, was revoked and sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Joshua Lee Maldonado pled guilty to the felony offense of Forgery and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Further, Maldonado, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Danny Johnson pled guilty to the felony offense of Theft over $1500 under $20,000-Aggregated and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.  Further, Johnson, on probation for the felony offense of Theft over $1,500 under $20,000-Aggregated, was revoked and sentenced to Fifteen (15) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Kelvin Dewayne Russell, on probation for the felony offense of Theft over $1,500 under $20,000, was revoked and sentenced to Fourteen (14) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Shannon Logan Thomas, on probation for the felony offense of Forgery, was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Jimmy Wayne Sellers, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Building, was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • John Daniel May, on probation for two separate felony offenses of Burglary of a Building, was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Terry Lavon Evers, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Yolanda Renae Huckaby, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to Ten (10) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
