Funeral services for H.G. “Mike” Hardman, 84, of Lake Brownwood, will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Barnum officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, June 16, at the funeral home.
Mr. Hardman passed away on June 14, 2011, at his home at Lake Brownwood.
Howard Glendon Hardman was born on August 24, 1926, in San Saba County Texas, to Waaman Hardman and Nettie Henry Hardman. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII, and was a partner in Watkins, Hardman and Shipman.
On December 19, 2002, Mike married Mitsy Cleveland and together they made their home at Lake Brownwood. He was a member of the Grosvenor Baptist Church and had lived at Lake Brownwood since 1976.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Mitsy Hardman of Lake Brownwood; children, Danise Cleveland, Russell Cleveland, Randy Cleveland, Jeana Hare, Glenda Beuring, Ronnie Hardman, and Patsy Blake. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Nettie Hardman, and one brother, Norman Hardman.
