browncountyhealthcenterTo celebrate Father’s Day and to bring the men in the area up to speed with health inside and out, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department is hosting “Wise Guys Immunize” week.

June 13th thru June 17th from 8:30am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 4:30pm, the health department will be giving free shots to children under 18 years old brought in by their dad or grandpa.  The health department will also be doing an on-site vaccination day at Brownwood Fitness on June 14th 8:30am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 4:30pm.

Joining the efforts are the “Wise Guys” of the week, Coach Bob Shipley and Walt Williams.  They are helping promote health from the inside out and being the leaders of the community.

This week is an opportunity for men to get caught up on all the vaccinations they have missed or just didn’t know were available.  Great men in the community can stand up and be the leaders for the family, their girlfriends/wives, and themselves.

Those who attend can register daily for door prizes which include a month’s free membership at Brownwood Fitness (donated by Brownwood Fitness), 4 family skating passes for Heartland Skateway (donated by Heartland Skateway), 4 games of bowling at Academy Lanes (donated by Academy Lanes) and a 12 swimming passes to the Camp Bowie Aquatic Center (provided by the Health Department).

For more information, contact the health department at 325-646-0554
