RodRunPreviewThe Heartland Rod Run gets bigger and better each year, and organizers for the event are raising the bar once again by adding a concert featuring classic rockers Johnny Dee and the Rocket 88s.

The Heartland Rod Run will take place June 3rd & 4th and will feature a car show at Riverside Park which will showcase street rods, muscle cars, sports cars, classics, race cars, imports, trucks, motorcycles and antique tractors.

Local car club the Heartland Cruisers are organizing the event once again this year and say that  they are expecting between 300-400 cars to participate in the outdoor car show.  Another highlight of the event will be the popular burnout competition.

Full schedule for the weekend Heartland Rod Run is as follows:

All poker run entries will receive a coupon for Sonic at 974 Early Blvd for two hamburgers, two orders of french fries and two Cokes.

Saturday, June 4:

*8am – Registration for car entries into the show at Riverside Park.  No entry fee

*10am – Car show, kids & adult games begin. Food, games, prizes, vendors, goodie bags, and much more at Riverside Park.  Free admission to car show.
