The Annual Lemons’ BBQ May Benefit Jam is being held Saturday, May 21st from 10:00am to 6:30pm to benefit families and people in need.  Last year the proceeds went to Caring Touch.  This year the proceeds will go to a families and some organizations that are in need.

The organizers state that this event is all about “people helping people” in our own community, Brownwood.

The day will be filled with free music, starting at 10:00am, and will feature a little something for everyone.

The following is a schedule of bands featured:

  • 1:00-2:30pm  Avalon:  Classic rock n roll.
  • 3:00-4:30pm  Brazo’s:  Classic rock and classic country.
  • 5:00-6:30pm  Island Phil:  Family friendly music.  An artist from Hawaii who has recorded music with some of the biggest bands & groups from all over the world.

There will also be free face painting for the kids and much more.

KBK Martial Arts will present martial arts demonstrations at 12:00pm and 2:30pm.  There will even be a 3 sword set given away at the event.  Those who sign up for one month of classes will be entered into the drawing.

No snack bar will be provided; however, in the past, participants have enjoyed the cool air conditioning of Lemons BBQ and their food and drinks.
