2011 Summer Meals Program Announced

SummerFoodServiceLogoThe Brownwood Independent School District will partner with the U.S. Department of Agriculture again this summer to serve free meals to young people. There are no income requirements and anyone under the age of 18 may eat breakfast and lunch at the designated locations, Brownwood school officials said.

The locations and time are as follows:

• Brownwood High School at 2100 Slayden, from June 6 to July 7, Monday- Thursday 11:30 a.m. to noon.

• Brownwood Middle School at 1600 Calvert, from June 6 to July 1, Monday- Friday, 7:30-8:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-noon.

• Brownwood Intermediate School at 800 Rogan, from June 6 to July 1, Monday- Friday, 7:30-8:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.- noon.

• Northwest Elementary at 311 Bluffview Drive, from June 6 to July 1, Monday-Friday, 7:30- 8:15 a.m. and 11:30- noon.

• Brownwood Boys and Girls Club at 1600 Ave. K, from June 1 to Aug. 12, Monday-Friday, 8:15-8:45 a.m. and noon-12:30 p.m.

• J. B. Stephens Elementary at 2001 N. Sixth St. in Bangs, from June 1 to June 29, Monday-Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-noon.

• Bangs Middle School at 200 East Hall in Bangs, from June 1 to June 29, Monday-Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-noon.
