Law Enforcement Blotter 5/18

Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday and Wednesday,  May 17-18, 2011.

Monday, May 16

*11:54am – Brownwood Police responded to the 2200 block of Southside Drive regarding criminal mischief.  After an investigation, it was determined that someone had entered the residence.  A witness was able to provide suspect information and an investigation into criminal trespass of a habitation and criminal mischief is ongoing.

*4:22pm – Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce regarding a theft that had occurred.  According to the report, the complainant/loss prevention officer stated that an unidentified female had stolen an undetermined amount of merchandise from the store.   The complainant and a second  store employee attempted to detain the subject, during which, the second store employee received minor injuries to her arm the report stated.

*5:58pm – Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Borden Street in reference to criminal mischief.    According to the report, the complainant reported a small portion of copper tubing was removed from inside his residence while he was away.

*11:52pm – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 2nd Street in reference to theft of a cell phone.  A suspect was identified by someone who lives at the incident location.

Tuesday, May 17

*7:45am – Brownwood Police responded to the report of a vehicle burglary in the 2100 block of Avenue D.  According to the report, there were three parked vehicles that had gasoline siphoned from them between the hours of 12:00am and 7:45am.  Also taken was property from inside one of the vehicles that had been left unlocked the report states.  No arrest  had been made, nor was suspect information available at the time of the report.

*11:52am – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Crocket Drive, the BISD Bus Barn, in reference to an unwanted subject.  The unwanted man was issued a trespass warning the report states.

*12:40pm – Brownwood Police met a complainant at BPD and took a report of credit card abuse.  No suspect information was available; however store surveillance video was requested of the in-store transaction the report states.  Charges are being pursued and the investigation is ongoing.

*7:17pm – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Stewart Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated two male subjects had placed glass bottles behind the tire of her vehicle.  No damage occurred according to police.  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

*8:25pm – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Coggin, a local convenience store, in regard to a fight.  According to report, the investigation into the fight led to a subject being issued a criminal trespass warning for 1400, 1401, 1407, and 1411 Coggin Avenue.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
