HPU Announces Young Scholars and Summers Scholars Program for Summer 2011

Howard_Payne_logosmallHoward Payne University will host Young and Summer Scholars programs July 18-22, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the HPU Academy of Freedom campus.

These programs are designed to provide intense, fun and academically stimulating summer camp programming for children entering grades 1-6. The goal is to challenge school-age children academically as well as expose them to the HPU campus, college classroom and academic environment.

Summer Scholars is a program for children entering grades 4-6, with innovative instruction in computer graphics, reading, science and physical education. Young Scholars is a program for children entering grades 1-3 features innovative instruction in reading, music, science and physical education.

The registration fee for the program is $100 and includes child’s souvenir book bag, snacks and supplies. Deadline for registration is July 13, 2011, and registration forms can be accessed from the HPU website, www.hputx.edu.
