The Howard Payne University tennis team placed two players on the the 2011 American Southwest Conference women’s tennis awards as voted on by the league’s 13 head coaches, the ASC office announced on Thursday.

Howard Payne’s Gabi Crunelle (left) and Cassie Emerson (right) were named Honorable Mention All-West Division in the number one doubles spot.

They had 2-2 conference record and played more together this season than any other HPU doubles combination.

The Howard Payne women’s tennis team was 3-11 overall and 2-4 in ASC play the season.
