ACSRelay4LifeThe Brown County Relay for Life is challenging everyone to gather quarters for a CURE!

Did you know that a quarter measures 1 inch…AND There are 12 quarters in a foot…AND 63,360 quarters placed next to each other measure one mile…AND One mile of quarters equals $15,840!!!

If we line quarters side by side, one lap around the Gordon Wood track would add up to $3,960!!

AMAZING!!!

Our challenge for you, Brown County, is to…Line the Track.  Let’s see how many times we can circle the track…with quarters!!!

At 9:00 p.m. a call will be made to place the quarters on the track.  It will be fast and furious lasting only 30 minutes at which time designated helpers will pick them all up.

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event.  It is a community event spanning 12 hours because, ‘cancer doesn’t stop because the sun goes down.’  Please join us on Friday, June 3rd beginning at 6 pm, at Gordon Wood Stadium for the 2011 Brown County Relay for Life.

If you have collected $50 or more in quarters, or would like additional information, please contact Melanie Smith @ 642-3177 or [email protected]
