Bangs Mayfest Festival to be Held May 7th

The 17th annual Bangs Mayfest Festival, sponsored by the Bangs Business Association, is scheduled for Saturday, May 7th and is sure to be a day full of fun activities.

The public is cordially invited to spend the day in Bangs as a special guest at Mayfest.   There will be something for the entire family!

Festival Events & Activities:

 

*8:00am-10:00am Start the day with Breakfast at Bangs First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall
*10:00am View the Parade
*1:00pm Washer Pitching Contest ($2 entry fee) Winner takes half the purse.  There will be adult & children’s divisions.

*Enjoy Musical Entertainment from the stage located under the park pavilion.
*Savor the cuisine of many Food Vendors.
*Explore the Arts & Crafts, Metal and Wood Works.
*Take the children to the Children’s Corner. Special guests will be ‘Patches & Patzee’ the clowns.
*Ice Cream Eating Contest:  How much ice cream can you eat in 5 minutes?  The first 10 contestants pay $5 entry fee for the chance to win a cash prize!
* All day cooking demonstrations by the Heart of Texas Dutch Oven Society.
*4:30pm -Grand Finale -One lucky name will be drawn for Grand Prize Giveaway – valued at $300.

There will also be a City Wide Garage Sales all over town. A list of locations will be available from area merchants the week before or at the information booth the day of the event.
