Dimensions in Blue, the jazz ensemble from the United States Air Force Band of the West, will present a concert on May 2, 2011, at Howard Payne University’s Mims Auditorium. The performance begins at 8:00 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

As one of the Air Force’s finest and most versatile big bands, Dimension in Blue features 18 talented musicians from around the country. One member of the band is HPU graduate and Brownwood native Senior Airman Dennis Lambert, a keyboardist/pianist.

The band currently tours more than 30,000 miles and entertains more than a million people each year. Dimensions in Blue has presented big band jazz to audiences throughout Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Louisiana. They are headquartered at Lackland Air Force Base.
